Whether we like it or not, money plays a crucial role in our daily lives and managing it effectively can help things run more smoothly. Life is easier when you have effective financial skills and taking the time to learn how to manage your money better on a day-to-day basis can also have a positive impact on your wellbeing.
The Money Charity’s new series of day-to-day money modules help equip employees with the skills and tools they need to take control of their finances, get on top of their money and make the most of what they have. The link between financial stress and performance at work is well documented and our financial wellbeing workshops are designed to help employees take a first step towards developing a positive relationship with their money.
Our “Day to Day Money” category is specifically designed to give you and your colleagues the input and confidence to help you each make practical, smart and informed choices to make a difference in your everyday life.
We offer five 1-hour modules within “Day to Day Money”:
The Psychology of Money - topics include: reviewing your personal relationship with (and attitudes towards) money, recognising your own money personality, spending triggers and habits and how these impact on your financial situation.
Budgeting & Keeping Track - topics include: identifying key elements of a personal budget, discussing priorities and identifying opportunities for making money go further, benefits and eligibility criteria, identifying and selecting budget tools and apps, how debt repayments impact the budget, tips to becoming more efficient in your personal financial organisation and keeping on top of bills, analysing shopping habits.
Financial Resilience - topics include: the importance of ‘cushioning’ and emergency funds.
Debt - topics include: strategies for tackling debt and identifying credible sources of free impartial support for problem debt, ‘good’ vs ‘bad’ debt.
Savings & Investments - topics include: savings goals and options for savings and investment vehicles, AER, returns and the financial benefits of saving.
