Expacare has launched an international private medical insurance (PMI) product for small employers.

The scheme, called Choices, is designed for organisations with between five and 29 employees.

It is a fixed, core plan to which additional optional benefits can be added, allowing employees to tailor the plan to their needs.

The core plan offers inpatient treatment, emergency medical evacuation and outpatient surgery. The additional benefits include three levels of cover for cancer treatment and chronic care, four levels of outpatient treatment, and options for maternity, dental, wellness benefits and optical cover.

Beverly Cook, managing director at Expacare, said: “We have created a product that has a good choice of benefits and options, and is straightforward and uncomplicated.”
