EXCLUSIVE: Financial services firm BGL Group has relaunched its bikes-for-work scheme.
The bikes-for-work scheme, provided by Cycle Solutions, was re-launched this month to further boost take up.
The relaunch includes a series of roadshows across the country, as well as online and offline communications to promote the scheme to the organisation's 3,000 employees.
The scheme was originally launched in July 2015, with 237 employees (7%) taking up the benefit within the first month.
The July 2015 launch was communicated to staff through roadshows across five of BGL Group’s UK locations, including London, Peterborough, Sunderland, York and Wakefield. The roadshows were a ‘virtual shop’ for employees to sample the bikes and equipment offered through the scheme, as well as find out more information about how the scheme works.
A key objective for BGL Group when launching the scheme was to ensure employees at all of its offices in the UK have full visibility and understanding of the workplace benefits available to them.
Clare Betts, reward manager at BGL Group, said: “Following the fantastic uptake on the first launch in 2015, we have been looking forward to the relaunch of the bikes-for-work scheme this month.
"Holding roadshows at multiple sites across the UK helps all of our employees, no matter their location of work, to learn more about the rewards available to them and how to enhance their benefits package.
“The bikes-for-work scheme has worked well for us as a business, as many of our employees live close to our offices and are easily able to incorporate a cycling commute into their daily routine.
"Living a healthy lifestyle appeals to all our employees, and is something we’re keen to promote throughout our business and our existing reward and wellbeing programmes.”
