Foodservice distributor 3663 is to open a second enrolment window for its bikes-for-work scheme on 1 March, in a bid to increase take up.
The scheme, which was launched in October 2011 with an enrolment window in November, has seen a 2% take-up, with estimated employer national insurance (NI) savings of over £3,000. This take-up meant 3663 achieved its target of 50 employees taking up the perk. It now hopes to build on this number with its second enrolment window.
The scheme was introduced in response to requests from employees, and to support 3663’s sustainability agenda.
Deb Rankin, head of HR shared services, said: “It supports our green travel plans and our sustainability agenda. Over the past two years, many employees have asked for a bikes-for-work scheme, and now we have been able to introduce it.
“The fact we have hit the target and got people asking when the next window is, we are assured that there is enough interest that we will keep going with it.”
