The benefits of entering the Employee Benefits Awardswas fantastic, said Elaine Nisbet, employee and learning resources director at City Health Care Partnership CIC.

The benefits included going to the event, meeting other people and seeing what other employers are doing, she said during an interview with Jennifer Paterson, senior reporter at Employee Benefits magazine.

The organisation won ‘Best total reward strategy’ at the Employee Benefits Awards 2013.

Nisbet added: “Historically, we were an NHS organisation and we moved into a social enterprise. Part of this move was to increase the reward and benefits for staff that moved to the social enterprise.

“We’ve worked really hard over the last three years to [put in place] a total reward package for our staff. Winning it meant the world to our organisation, to me and to our team.”

Nisbet joined a panel for the closing keynote session on the first day of Employee Benefits Live in September, sharing her experience at the Employee Benefits Awards 2013.

The Employee Benefits Awards 2014 are open for entries. The deadline is 18 December.
