Employee Benefits Live, the biggest benefits event of the year, will take place on 28-29 September 2010. Now in its 12th year, this exhibition and conference will be staged at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London

Engagement strategy is vital for employers

?Engaging employees will be a key theme at this year’s Employee Benefits Live conference. Many employers are aware that, after a sustained period of cost constraints and pay freezes, staff are starting to think about moving jobs.

It is therefore crucial to have a strategy in place to hold on to staff who have seen employers through some tough times.

Opening this dedicated stream on employee engagement on 29 September will be the highly popular Duncan Brown, director of reward at the Institute for Employment Studies.

After attracting nearly 500 people to his keynote session at the 2009 event, he is expected to draw large crowds once again.

  • All sessions are free, but need to be booked in advance online.

Case studies will show practical applications

?As always, the range of case studies in the conference programme is a vital draw for delegates. This year, the case studies will include BSkyB, Oracle Corporation, National Grid, AstraZeneca and Sun Microsystems.

The Employee Benefits Live conference will be split into six streams, dedicated to: international benefits, total reward, employee engagement, pensions, health and wellbeing, and flexible benefits.

Once again, leading consultants will run sessions that are specific to their area of expertise, using client case studies to show the practical application of their practice.

  • All sessions are free, but need to be booked in advance online.
