Donations from employers and advisers entering the 2009 Employee Benefits Awards amounted to £9,000.
Suki Dale, senior corporate fundraiser at Samaritans, said: “You've raised a fantastic £17,000 [over the past two years] and increased awareness of Samaritans service, particularly our Worklife training programme so, thanks again Debi, to you and your wonderful team at Employee Benefits.”
The amount was boosted by a generous on-the-spot donation from Thomsons Online Benefits, announced as ‘breaking news’ during the awards ceremony, which took place on 26 June in London.
Samaritans will once again be the chosen charity for the 2010 Employee Benefits Awards.
This charity is selected because the workplace programme they offer to deal with employee stress, WorkLife, aligns closely with employee benefits.
“Thank you for choosing Samaritans as your charity partner for the EB Awards 2010! We are absolutely thrilled and really appreciate your continued support,” said Dale.
