Although the popularity of flexible benefits schemes is increasing, growth in this area has occurred more slowly than for other types of benefits scheme. This may be because myths still persist among employers about the expense of implementing flex and the cost of a scheme’s administration, despite advances in flex technology that have made it much cheaper and easier to put a scheme in place.
Flexible benefits schemes for all staff are most prevalent among organisations with 1,001 to 5,000 employees (offered by 31% of respondents), followed by those with 501 to 1,000 staff (28%).
An equal percentage of respondents with fewer than 100 staff and those with more than 10,000 (15%), then come in third place, demonstrating organisations of all sizes are embracing the concept of flexible benefits.
