Devonshire Partnership NHS Trust is running an activity and wellbeing event today (27 September) to provide staff with more information about healthy living.
This will include free taster sessions on yoga and massage, and stands and presentations on benefits such as childcare vouchers, pensions and automotive leasing. Staff from a local Specsavers store in Exeter will attend the event to speak to employees about visual display unit advice and guidance. Staff will be able to try on different frames and will receive handouts on eye health, wellbeing and driving vision.
Suzanne Randall, corporate account manager at Specsavers Corporate Eyecare, said: “Communication is very important when it comes to employee wellbeing. We are pleased to have this opportunity to discuss eye health directly with [employees] and to give the, information that could save their sight.”
The optician provides eyecare for the trust’s employees through its Specsavers Corporate VDU vouchers.
Dawn Thomson, administration manager at Devonshire Partnership NHS Trust, said: “The eyecare voucher system offers consistent care for all employees and requires virtually no administration.”
