The majority (89%) of employers believe bikes for work is an important tool for improving employee engagement and 98% of employees said they would encourage their colleagues to take part in the scheme.
The Cycle to Work Alliance’s Behavioural Impact Analysis, which had over 44,500 respondents, examined the benefits of the bikes-for-work scheme and the motivations that drive demand from the scheme’s users.
A bikes-for-work scheme can also play a role in creating a more productive and engaged workforce, while at the same time reducing an organisation’s carbon footprint.
Mark Smith, representative of the Cycle to Work Alliance and retail director of Evans Cycles, said: “The rapid growth of the bikes-for-work scheme is testament to its popularity. Employers are seeing the benefits of a healthier and more engaged workforce.”
