Catlin has introduced new voluntary benefits after a full market review and benchmarking exercise.

To offer a package to better meet the needs of its 739 staff, the insurer and reinsurer has added a cycle-to-work scheme, an online retail discount scheme and negotiated discounts for health screening. It has also switched childcare voucher provider to Edenred.

The bike scheme, provided by Cyclescheme, and childcare vouchers are available via salary sacrifice, while the retail discount scheme is offered as a voluntary benefit through Xexec’s online portal. The health screening, provided by Bupa Wellness, is available to all staff and their partners.

The cycle-to-work scheme has achieved 3.5% take-up and childcare vouchers 7%, while 37.5% of staff have registered for the online retail discounts.

Rebecca Prebble, Catlin’s benefits and international assignments manager, said: “We wanted to offer a compelling package and to differentiate ourselves from our immediate competitors.”
