Charity Cache has achieved 81% take up of its voluntary benefits scheme since it launched on 1 September.
On the first day alone, the organisation saw a 58% take up from its 120 employees.
The scheme, which is provided by Asperity Employee Benefits, includes bike for work, childcare vouchers, gym membership and an employee discount programme called ‘Cache Rewards’.
Staff who sign up to Cache Rewards can obtain discounts at more than 3,000 retailers online, over the phone and in-store, including Sainsbury's and Apple.
The online system is supported by an extended-hours helpdesk.
Prior to its launch, the organisation held a series of roadshows at which employees could learn more about the scheme. Emails were then sent to all staff on the day of launch which encouraged take-up by linking to the scheme's registration page.
Janice Young, HR manager at Cache, said: "We are thrilled about the staff response so far to the new programme. We felt the employee discount scheme was a genuine benefit our staff would appreciate, particularly in these times of public spending cuts.
"With Cache Rewards, our employees can save hundreds of pounds a year when they shop in stores they would have been shopping anyway."
