Bupa International is offering expatriate workers free access to an expert medical opinion service.
The service, provided by Advance Medical, gives employees access to professional medical opinions from more than 5,000 doctors.
The service can help reassure employees that they have the right diagnosis, and ensure they are being given the best advice and treatment for their condition.
When an employee requests a second opinion, a team of specialists in their particular condition will review their symptoms, medical history and recommended treatment, and provide a detailed report which the employee can discuss with their personal doctor, before agreeing on the best treatment option.
Employees can call on the free service at any time.
Dr Sneh Khemka, medical director at Bupa International, said: “Trusting that a doctor is giving the best advice can be a challenge for expats, particularly if they do not speak the language or understand the healthcare system where they are living.
“This new service means that employees have access to leading specialists, reassuring them that they are receiving the best possible care and treatment, wherever they are in the world.”
