Mike Post, a trustee of the Airways Pension Scheme, has resigned over the decision to link members’ pensions payments to the consumer price index (CPI).
Trustees of the British Airway’s (BA) pensions scheme voted to switch from the retail price index (RPI) from April 2011.
The switch to CPI will mean BA pensioners will receive an increase of 3.1%, as opposed to a 4.6% annual increase from RPI.
