Aviva has relaunched its Get Active website to include discounted gym membership, and hints and tips to help lead a healthy lifestyle.

Members of Aviva’s private medical insurance (PMI), cash plan and group risk products are able to access cheaper health club membership at Curves, a specialist women’s health and fitness club.

Individuals are able to take part in 30-minute workouts designed to help them stay fit and health during a busy day.

The refreshed website also includes extra tips and information for those who may not have time to visit the gym but are interested in getting active.

The new area looks at ways people can use everyday activities to improve their health with the focus on making exercise enjoyable and part of a daily routine.

Also included are nutritional tips that can be beneficial when considering exercise but can also help to encourage healthy eating habits.

Rebecca Paterson, head of marketing communications and consumer propositions at Aviva UK Health, said: “We are committed to helping our customers get moving and find ways they can take an active role in improving their health and wellbeing.

“We also recognise not everyone wants to go to the gym so we have included more information to help our customers take small steps to leading a healthier lifestyle.”
