Trustees of AT Kearney Pension and Life Assurance Scheme have appointed Gatemore Capital Management as dedicated chief investment officer.
Under the new arrangement, Gatemore will work with the trustees to develop and implement the pension scheme's investment strategy.
Jonathan Anscombe, chair of trustees and European head of the pharmaceuticals and healthcare practice at management consultancy AT Kearney, said: “As trustees, we have set ourselves some ambitious targets to achieve full funding.
“We therefore wanted to work with a provider which was proactive with its advice and would work with us to achieve those targets.”
Mark Hodgson, managing director of Gatemore, said: “The trustees want to be involved in the strategic decision making, and indeed should be; they want Gatemore to look outside the traditional approach, as well as to actively de-risk the strategy over time."
