Apple has achieved pay equity for similar roles and performance among its US workforce, according to its latest Inclusion and diversity report.
Over the past year, Apple studied the total compensation for US employees and sought to close any wage gaps.
The technology organisation’s US-based male and female employees now earn the same pay for similar roles and performance.
Pay equity for similar roles and performance has also been achieved for under-represented minorities, according to August 2016 data.
The organisation is carrying out an analysis of salaries, bonuses and annual stock grants for employees worldwide in order to address pay equality globally.
Denise Young, vice president of worldwide human resources at Apple, said: "Diversity is more than any one gender, race or ethnicity. It's richly representative of all people, all backgrounds, and all perspectives. It is the entire human experience."
