Aon Consulting has launched an wellness programme to staff at its Farnborough branch in a bid to bolster employees' mental and physical capabilities.

The programme, which will run for six months, will educate employees on nutrition and health, provide them with massages and relaxation techniques and nutritional and health information. Staff will also have access to fresh fruit, water bottles and pedometers.

Although the plan is voluntary, all employees at the branch have participated in the scheme since its launch. The firm's long-term aim is to look at rolling the scheme out across the business.

Colin Barnes, operational head of Aon Consulting's benefits solutions team in Farnborough, said: "This is an exciting project and I am pleased with the positive response from the team. Whilst this is only a pilot, we hope to demonstrate that a properly integrated wellness programme can successfully increase productivity and employee engagement."
