Some 80% of employers have not carried out a stress audit despite recent guidelines from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). And of those organisations that have carried out an audit to manage workplace stress only 18% have introduced appropriate policies as a result.

While the HSE has estimated that 5m employees feel very or extremely stressed by work, 56% of employers do not have a strategy for managing workplace stress and 60% do not monitor stress related absence.
