The University of Sheffield has appointed Capita Hartshead to administer its pension scheme in preparation for auto-enrolment.
The scheme has 3,000 members, made up from the university’s non-academic staff.
Andrew Wood, head of financial services at the university, said: “We had two key criteria when choosing our new administrator.
“It was essential it could provide a member-focused service and we also wanted a partner that would provide specialist support going forward, especially during the introduction of auto-enrolment.”
Mike Addenbrooke, managing director at Capita Hartshead, added: “We are already working closely with the University of Sheffield to ensure we meet its goals, including the introduction of auto-enrolment.”
