Sportswear company Puma is to introduce its first flexible benefits scheme in January 2011.

The scheme, provided by AWD Chase de Vere, will include childcare vouchers, bikes for work, critical illness cover, dental insurance, health screening, discount travel insurance, and Gymflex gym membership.

Staff will also be able to donate to charity through a payroll giving scheme provided by Workplace Giving. Gail Cole, HR manager at Puma, said: "We are committed to providing employees with meaningful rewards. It is about giving them some additional benefits that help them along the way."

The company, which has about 300 UK staff, previously provided standalone benefits such as childcare vouchers, a payroll giving scheme and private medical insurance for some employees, but this is the first time it has offered perks through a flex scheme.

The flex enrolment window opens in December, and the benefits will be effective from January 2011.
