The panel included Debbie Lovewell-Tuck, editor of Employee Benefits, Natasha Halsall, pensions manager at the University of Lincoln, Jeanette Makings, head of financial education services at Close Brothers Asset Management, and Charles Cotton, performance and reward adviser at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
The panel discussed how employers can engage employees with pensions and encourage them to be more proactive around their retirement saving, as well as what can be done to increase trust in pensions as a brand. Re-auto-enrolment, financial education and access to advice, upcoming changes to the lifetime and annual allowance limits, the use of technology, and pensions tax relief were among the other topics discussed during the webinar debate.
