Capital One will share a case study on the creation of an engaging pensions communication strategy at Employee Benefits Live 2016.
Elaine Makin, HR benefits advisor at Capital One, will speak alongside Graeme Wyllie, head of pensions, UK and Ireland at Royal Bank of Scotland, in a session entitled 'How to overcome pension communication challenges'.
Capital One will discuss the 2015 communications campaign that accompanied its move from a defined contribution (DC) pensions scheme to a master trust.
Creating a tongue-in-cheek retirement theme, Capital One developed an eye-catching and innovative launch programme, which included a pensions rap video. The initiative, which highlighted the key changes for staff, also involved presentations and access to on-site professional financial advice.
Using Capital One’s first-hand experience, Makin will explain how organisations can think out of the box in terms of communicating their pension arrangements to staff, demonstrating how communications can be leveraged to enhance employee engagement and increase understanding of pensions across the business.
Employee Benefits Live 2016 will take place on Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 October at Olympia National, London. Register to attend here.
