Health Shield set to launch GP helpline as part of product development drive

Health Shield is planning to introduce a GP helpline this month as part of an extensive product development drive.

The 24/7 helpline will be available across its voluntary and company-sponsored Corporate, Tailored and Flexible Benefits cash-plan schemes.

The company is also introducing a paperless system. From January, members can opt to receive information and scheme updates via email.

Health Shield already operates a Direct Credit system, which enables the organisation to pay claims directly into members’ chosen bank accounts. It also offers Direct Credit notification via email.

The streamlined process is designed to further improve customer-service levels at Health Shield. According to recent customer-care surveys, 99 per cent of members rated their overall experience as ‘good’.
