Findel Group has appointed an adviser to provide actuarial, administration and investment services to its £120 million defined benefit (DB) pension fund.

The group has appointed Barnett Waddingham, effective from April 2013.

Steve Delo, chief executive of Pan Governance, the independent chair of the trustees for the Findel Group Pension Fund (pictured), said: “We carried out a thorough tender process with the help of Kim Gubler Consulting.

“Against what was a competitive field, the trustees liked the personalised service that Barnett Waddingham offers.

“The Findel [pension] fund has brought together four arrangements into one and we therefore needed a simplified, but comprehensive, adviser structure with strong technical ability.”

Robert Hawkes, partner at Barnett Waddingham, added: “The scheme trustees have worked hard to bring together a number of schemes in the Findel Group and we look forward to supporting them with the next stage of managing the combined scheme.”
