Employee benefits providers are uniting to raise £30,000 for childhood cancer charity, the Neuroblastoma Society
Over 100 employees from intermediaries and insurers will join cricket stars to play 18 holes at the Princes Golf Club in Kent in September.
The third Lorica golf charity day will see Axa, Bupa, Groupama, Canada Life, PPC, Aviva, National Friendly and Simplyhealth put forward teams to play alongside cricket stars Phil DeFreitas and Paul Pritchard.
Nick Bushell, sales director of Lorica, and organiser of the event, said: “Last year we had a fantastic turnout again. Twenty-five teams each with four people took part.
“Well-known people joined lesser-known ones and we all came together for a great day of healthy competition, topped off with a dinner and the charity auction of sports experiences and rare autographed memorabilia.Camaraderie, mickey-taking and networking are key parts of the day.”
“People were amazingly generous. This year we hope to raise another £30,000 with 30 golfing teams.”
