Complinet has boosted its pension take-up by 20% after it introduced its benefits package online. The company, which publishes regulatory financial information, employs 150 staff in London and New York and wanted to reduce the time spent on benefits admin.

Sheena McLullich, head of HR, said: "Before [the online service], people knew we had a pension scheme but it was hard to get them to come to the [HR] office. It certainly played a big part in increasing awareness." The website, is run by benefits provider Thomsons Online Benefits, includes information on the firm's group personal pension and gym discounts. Complinet is now looking at introducing flex.
