The College of North West London has hosted an inaugural staff health and wellbeing week to help inspire employees to lead more healthy lifestyles.

A range of healthcare providers, including Bupa, The Co-operative and National Dental Plan, showcased a range of healthcare offerings during the week, which ran from 20 to 24 February.

A range of activities were also offered to energise staff, including Tai Chi, Zumba and Wii exercise sessions, as well as cooking demonstrations and ‘Let’s Get Healthy’ seminars. Pampering sessions, such as wash and blow dries and manicures, were available.

In addition, the college launched a walking challenge, tasking employees with walking as far as they can during a six-week period for a chance to win the college cup.

Vicki Fagg, principal at the College of North West London, said she hoped the event will inspire all members of staff to at least make one healthy change to their lifestyles.
