Healthcare provider Cigna has introduced child rates on its small corporate dental plans.

From 1 October, child dependants will be charged at half the price of the full benefit but they will still be
entitled to a full benefit allowance.

Cigna’s head of product management, Kirsty Jagielko, said: “We recognise that materials, equipment and the options of treatment provided in private dental practice are decisive factors for many patients who want the best for their own and their children’s oral health. It is becoming evident that more members are keen to include their children on their dental plan, which is also partly due to ongoing problems in access to NHS dentistry in many parts of the UK.”
