Lime, Cable and Wireless Communications’ Jamaica business, has signed an agreement with unions which will deliver changes to working conditions, including new salary agreements and the introduction of flexible working.

The memorandum of understanding (MOU) agreement, which is the first between the unions and Lime, seeks to create a more efficient business culture as well as to develop the skills and capabilities of employees.

The introduction of flexible working hours is aiming to reduce overtime payments.

Garry Sinclair, managing director of Lime Jamaica, said: “This agreement marks a new beginning for all of us at Lime and it proves that empowered managers and visionary union leaders can reach consensus on objectives that will enable a more effective workforce and build a better business.”
