Aspire Housing has launched a flexible benefits scheme to give its employees more choice around their reward
Through its Choices scheme, provided by Lorica, Aspire’s 500 staff can sacrifice salary in return for benefits, including private medical insurance, a health cash plan, health screening and dental insurance. Also included in the scheme are childcare vouchers, bikes for work and a payroll-giving plan.
Aspire introduced the scheme after feedback from the fair deal category in the Best Companies employee survey suggested staff would value a range of benefits.
The enrolment window for the scheme opened on 14 February for four weeks, and the scheme will begin on 1 April.
Aspire communicated details of the scheme through roadshows and presentations from benefits providers, as well as emails, text messages, meetings and posters.
Ele Morrissey, head of people and performance at Aspire Housing, said: “We wanted a set of benefits that would appeal to everybody as we have a range of younger and older people; some are looking at retirement and some are starting families. We have tried to put in a range that would attract everybody, and improve engagement.”
