ADT Fire and Security has introduced a pilot bikes-for-work scheme, employer-funded health screening and an employee assistance programme (EAP), as well as making changes to existing schemes to boost staff engagement.

It is launching the bikes-for-work pilot in June, using provider Cycle Solutions, because it is the most requested benefit from staff. The pilot will be available to 1,400 staff at four of ADT’s biggest sites. ADT will assess the scheme’s success and decide whether to roll it out to all staff.

It is also rolling out employer-paid health screening from provider Prevent to all UK 4,000 employees to try to improve wellbeing and sickness absence rates. Neil Jordan, compensation and benefits manager at ADT, said: “We had done some screening for senior managers before, and saw the value of it. It is linked in with our wellbeing programme to try to reduce absence rates.”

ADT will introduce an EAP in July, using provider Health Assured. So far this year, it has also introduced an employee discount scheme from Edenred, financial education sessions, amended its long-service award policy, and developed its ADT Stars recognition scheme with provider Michael C Fina.
