EXCLUSIVE: Mitie Group has hosted its monthly onsite massage for employees at its 24seven call centres.
The onsite massage, which was introduced at its Bristol office two years ago and at its Leeds office in August 2012, is aimed at ensuring the phone operatives in its 24seven division take breaks to keep them relaxed.
It takes place once a month for a full day and includes either an Indian head massage or relaxation massage.
Mark Hazelwood, customer solutions director at Mitie (24seven), said: “This isn’t some gimmick. It’s about pampering our experts that talk to our clients daily and reinforces that our employees’ wellbeing is of utmost importance.”
All 120 employees who work in the 24seven team are able to benefit from the treatment. Staff receive an email notification of the massage and will also be personally invited by their team leader.
Hazelwood adds: “This is part of a programme that includes opportunities to take part in volunteering, community engagement schemes and Mitie sustainability activities, as well as specific events held to celebrate key milestones in the centre.”
