LV= has revamped its pension communications as part of its compliance with auto-enrolment.

The insurance organisation has launched an online hub called Pensions Village to engage employees with its trust-based defined contribution (DC) pension scheme.

It auto-enrolled 600 employees into the scheme, which already had 4.700 active members, on 1 May.

LV= worked with pensions and benefits communications organisation AHC to create the pensions hub, which contains information in a variety of formats, including interactive navigation, videos, calculators and printable documents.

The website has also been designed to work on a mobile phone or tablet.

Mike Acred, pensions manager at LV=, said: “It was crucial for us to engage with a specialised agency when it came to our communications requirements. The feedback we have had from our members on the site has been very positive.”

Karen Heath, chief engagement officer at AHC, added: “The trustees at LV= wanted an innovative, fresh way to engage with employees on their retirement options.

“They also wanted to ensure that employees fully understood the impact of not saving for retirement and to demonstrate the low cost of membership and employer contributions.

“Educating and engaging with employees about pensions, in a way that is bespoke and personal to their circumstances, is vital to each individual’s long-term quality of life.”
