EXCLUSIVE: Young’s Seafood has seen more than 1,000 employees regularly use its employee discounts scheme since its launch.

The seafood supplier previously had a number of informal benefits arrangements in place, which it replaced with the launch of its comprehensive programme Your Benefits in August 2013.

Through the new scheme, Young’s Seafood aimed to help employees save money via discounts on travel and attractions, fashion and gifts, health and wellbeing, and utilities and motoring.

Amanda Sedgman, HR manager at Young’s Seafood, said: “Prior to August, we had a number of schemes loosely in place but now we have a comprehensive benefits scheme that allows our employees to save money in many areas of their lives.”

Young’s worked wiht its voluntary benefits provider Personal Group to communicate the benefits to employees using posters and emails.

Sedgman added: “We are delighted that more than 1,200 of our employees have signed up already and are incorporating the scheme into their daily lives.

“We are pleased with the roll out so far and the positive feedback we have received from our employees.

“We’re looking forward to building on the programme’s success in the coming months and getting even more of our team enrolled.”
