One-in-six staff would never dream of asking their employer for a pay rise, according to research by Ceridian. Of more than 1,000 employees surveyed for the Ceridian 2008 Salary Survey, only 19 percent of those aged under 34 years feel comfortable asking for a pay rise. But, 81 percent of respondents over the age of 35 years would feel confident about asking for more money.
