Workplace Options has launched new benefits cover for employees travelling outside the country.

Its Global Assurance plan will ensure any current work-life or employee support benefits will follow an employee when they travel for work. Employees are covered for up to 30 days, and additional expatriate or extended global coverage services are also available.

Dean Debnam, chief executive officer at Workplace Options, said: "As employers continue to expand their businesses across borders, the need for global benefits coverage has become increasingly important to companies.

Alan King, president and chief operating officer at Workplace Options, added: "While many workers find themselves periodically travelling outside of their home country, many do not realise the lapse in benefits coverage that occurs once they cross borders.

"Global Assurance is a step employers can take to safeguard their most valuable assets no matter where they travel for business or pleasure."
