Workplace Options has launched an information pack designed to provide practical assistance to carers.
In conjunction with Carers Week, which runs from 14-20 June 2010, the carers' pack will be issued to Workplace Options' employee assistance programme (EAP) customers.
The pack contains free, practical information on issues such as: balancing work and caring responsibilities; looking after the physical and emotional wellbeing of the carer; and gadgets, equipment and services to make caring easier.
Dean Debnam, chief executive officer of Workplace Options, said: "The work of many employees does not end when they leave the office. Often we are responsible for providing care to our loved ones - children, parents, even friends - and that can lead to increased stress and the risk of burnout.
“Our carer's pack was put together to serve as a tool to remind these hard-working individuals that there are resources available to help them when they need it most."
Alan King, president and chief operating officer of Workplace Options, added: "These tools offer valuable benefits to employees who balance their occupation with their caring responsibilities, and we hope the carer's pack will shed light on some of the ways carers can take advantage of the resources available to them."
