In the battle for talent employers need to help employees fulfil their caring responsibilities. Flexible working can be used to help parents juggle childcare and work, as well as those who have elderly relatives. Childcare vouchers are also a highly valued perk for parents but employers need to ensure fathers in the workforce know they are as equally entitled to the benefit. Employers are less likely to offer eldercare vouchers because unlike childcare vouchers they are not exempt from tax.†
