Insurance broker Willis has introduced an online voluntary benefits scheme for its 3,000 UK employees.

The firm is also offering the scheme to its insurance customers as part of its corporate insurance packages. For example, employers that purchase public liability insurance from Willis will also be offered access to the employee benefits site.

The website offers high-street discounts and Willis-sourced personal insurances. It will be branded under the banner 'Rewards just for you'. The site also includes access to major retailers, discounts on eating out and entertainment, festival and theatre tickets, sports and leisure, DIY, and homes and gardens.

Joe Lander, employee solutions leader at Willis, said: "It came about from looking at what we were doing and what our competitors were doing. We had done bits and pieces on voluntary benefits and personal insurances, but this is a more rounded proposition."

Users can access the site, which is powered by provider Stormchild Ventures, via a member code that they must key in when they register. The portable platform can also be accessed through an iPhone application.
Lander added: "What we are looking to do is create a community feel, so it is more than just logging on, buying something and logging off.

"We are also looking at incorporating user advice, seasonal issues, and are looking at the consumer advice bit as well."
