West Lothian Council is providing staff with an online portal giving them access to all its voluntary benefits, including local discounts.

This is the first time that the council’s voluntary benefits will appear in one place.

The new platform called Reward Gateway has been created by provider Asperity and communicated to staff via the council’s intranet, posters on noticeboards and in an internal newsletter.

Neil MacLeod, employee benefits manager at the council, said: “West Lothian delivers high-quality services to its end users and we look to deliver the best in rewards to our employees. Reward Gateway offers staff the chance to save money on their everyday purchases and we are pleased to have it as an addition to our benefits portfolio.”

The council employs 8,000 staff and previously used Bringme to provide its voluntary benefits before Asperity acquired the business from Lloyds TSB.
