Wealth at Work has appointed Alan Whalley chairman.
Until 2012, Whalley was UK chief executive at consultancy Mercer. He has also held positions at Watson Wyatt (now Towers Watson), including European managing partner and US regional manager.
Whalley said: “I am passionate about meeting the rapidly growing need to help people manage their lifetime savings to provide an appropriate level of income in retirement.
“I look forward to working with the team to deliver further innovation, particularly on the extremely important issue of education and advice around retirement income options for members of defined contribution [pension] schemes, which is one of the biggest challenges for both employers and trustees alike over the next few years.”
