Volkswagen Group, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), International Power, the Wood Group and the Daily Mail and General Trust are the latest employers to be awarded Pension Quality Marks by the National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF).
The awards, which were made at this year’s NAPF conference, are intended to recognise good quality defined
contribution (DC) pension schemes and help employers demonstrate their plans’ value.
This is aimed at encouraging more employees to join by making workplace pensions more understandable and
attractive.
Roy Platten, group pensions manager at Volkswagen Group, said: “This Pension Quality Mark is a great award, which will make it easier for us to explain to our employees the value of the pension we offer.”
Ali Peck, HR and training director at the RNLI, added: “It is important for us to attract the highest-quality staff,
and the Pension Quality Mark will help us to do this, as well as allowing us to demonstrate our commitment to
helping our staff save for retirement.”
A total of 13 schemes have now qualified for a Pension Quality Mark.
