Vail Williams is to launch a flexible benefits scheme for its 150 employees.

Employees will be able to access the scheme, which is provided by Portus Online, in November, before their selections go live in January 2011. Employees will be able to easily access the scheme through an online portal.

The real estate advisers’ main aims were to engage employees, improve communication and get a better return on investment.

Stuart Dawson, head of human resources at Vail Williams, said: “It offers a very low-cost way of improving employee morale and engagement, and giving them some choice over the benefits they receive.

The company conducted a staff survey to identify what benefits staff would like to receive. In response to this employee feedback, Vail Williams will add bikes for work and holiday purchase scheme to the scheme.

“We asked employees what kind of package they would like,” said Dawson. “We have come back with preferences across the company. In response to feedback, we are firming up the flexible benefits we are going to offer.”

The scheme is being communicated to staff via the firm’s intranet and, as the launch date approaches, employees will receive individualised emails about flex.
