UK salaries for permanent and temporary staff in May 2012 were higher than the same period in 2011, according to research by recruitment consultancy Office Angels.
The Mysalarychecker.com research found that permanent salaries were up 0.16% and temporary salaries were up 0.05%.
It also found that salaries for permanent roles fell only 0.11% from April to May 2012, while salaries for temporary roles increased by 0.03% in the same period.
The research also found:
- Permanent personal assistant roles have seen salary increases of 4.81% compared with May 2011.
- Permanent office manager roles have seen salary increases of 3.94% compared with May 2011.
Steven Kirkpatrick, managing director at Office Angels, said: “Our latest salary update indicates that the job market is remaining consistent for UK workers.
“Both job seekers and people already in work should be heartened by this news and remain optimistic about their future employment.”
