The Travis Perkins Group, which owns Travis Perkins and Wickes, has appointed a new voluntary benefits provider in a bid to provide a harmonised offering to staff and to increase employee engagement.
Previously two providers supplied the voluntary benefits in the group, one for Travis Perkins and one for Wickes. Travis Perkins hopes that by using one provider, the group will be able to provide a homogenous and integrated approach to its benefits offering.
The group’s salary sacrifice benefits including give as you earn, childcare vouchers and a cycle to work scheme, will continue to be provided by Jardine Lloyd Thompson and will also be available online.
The new scheme, which was launched in a tiered system for staff in the merchanting department in May and for retail staff (at Wickes) in June, will be provided on Asperity’s Reward Gateway and will offer the 17,000 staff over 1,500 discounts through online and telephone offers as well as at high street stores.
Staff can register for benefits online or using a telephone helpline.
The scheme was communicated through briefings, posters and teaser campaigns.
Prior to the tendering process, The Personal Group of Companies, provided voluntary benefits to Travis Perkins and Team Reward provided voluntary benefits to Wickes.
