Northern Ireland’s public transport provider, which owns Metro, Northern Ireland Railways and Ulsterbus, will implement a programme called ‘Your Benefits’.

The scheme, provided by Personal Group, includes both online and offline access to 8,000 retail discounts, at stores such as Argos, Asda, B&Q, Boots, New Look and Sainsbury’s.

Employees will also be able to access discounts on a range of items, from travel and attractions, fashion and gifts, health and wellbeing, and utilities and motoring.

The voluntary benefits scheme will be launched across Translink’s 80 locations using a range of internal communications channels.

Employees will also have the opportunity to participate in face-to-face presentations and demonstrations about the new benefits programme.

Barry Love, internal communications manager at Translink, said: “Translink has worked with Personal Group to come up with an integrated and comprehensive internal communications strategy to increase employee engagement with the benefits programme and, ultimately, secure staff satisfaction and buy-in.

“We already have a range of excellent core benefits in place, as well as locally-negotiated discounts.

“Personal Group has helped us incorporate these elements into our communications strategy to ensure both the old and new programmes work together seamlessly.”
