Trader Media has added health screening, travel insurance and an employee discounts site to its voluntary benefits plan.
The scheme, called My Trader World, was launched in 2010. This year’s additions were made as the result of employee feedback from across the organisation.
Health screening is available for employees and for their partners. The employee discounts, provided by Asperity Employee Benefits, can be accessed at the office and at home.
The focus for the 2011 enrolment was on communication with targeted information reaching 1,400 staff at 14 different sites.
The company’s HR team visited nine of its sites, conducting 10-minute presentations that outlined the benefits available, how to access the scheme, and answer any questions.
Jessica Brand, head of HR portal and benefits at Trader Media, said: “We also attended manager meetings and did presentations with them. We produced a benefits booklet and sent it out to all employees’ homes and there is an electronic version they can access through the intranet.”
