The Royal Borough of Kingston is launching a new voluntary benefits programme for its 4,000 employees this month in a response to a staff survey revealing decreasing levels in pay satisfaction.
‘One Council One Reward’ is a bespoke scheme that will enable employees at the council to enjoy a range of discounts and offers available at over 1,500 retailers online and in-store.
David Ward, pay and rewards manager, said: “We know from our staff surveys that it’s really important that our employees feel valued. [The programme] gives us a unique way to increase the spending power of all our staff, particularly relevant in the current economic climate.”
The programme, provided by Asperity, is being promoted via a branded company website with links to the council’s other non-pay rewards, and a series of group briefings for non office-based staff.
Employees will be able to claim cash-back on purchases, as well as online discounts and gift vouchers.
