TD Waterhouse has launched a flexible benefits scheme to promote employee wellbeing and offer more tax-efficient perks for staff.

Communications to employees at the stockbroking firm included coverage in an internal newsletter; posters; desk-drops and 21 presentations to employees over a fortnight. More than 80% of employees have chosen to participate in the scheme, as recorded at the end of its first month.

Tracy Booth, HR director, said: "Our existing benefits package was generally undervalued, even by employees who were taking advantage of the options available to them. The launch of TDWFlextra has allowed our employees to appreciate the real value of their benefits for the first time as well as allowing us to introduce new and exciting benefits.

TD Waterhouse plans to add a subsidised well-being account, tax-efficient car parking and holiday trading to the scheme when it is renewed next year.

TD Waterhouse worked with Aon Consulting to implement the scheme.
